Fabu, Let's get to meet you. what can you tell us about yourself?
Thank you for this opportunity. I am 14 years old and have used content creation as a form of therapy to overcome and cope with my speech delay and ADHD since I was a young child. I live stream gameplay daily, as well as create educational content related to ADHD, I am a podcaster and currently, I am working on a book series about my unique experience. I am not just a gamer; I’m an educator and advocate for many young people who face similar struggles.
Outside of gaming, I'm just like any other teenager. I love spending time with my family, hanging out with friends, rollerblading and I’m a foodie!
How did the name “FabuRocks” come into existence?
The name "FabuRocks" is a fusion of two key aspects of my personality. "Fabu" is short for "Fabulous," or “Fabulosa” in Spanish, which is a word that my family always used to describe my personality. No matter the challenges I faced, I always approached life with a sense of wonder and positivity. Fabu has been by nickname my family has called me since I was a baby. The Rocks part has 2 meanings. On the one hand, it signifies how I rock in a game or when I do something and on the other hand when I was younger, I used to collect rocks from every cool place we visited.

You have been called the youngest girl gamer on various platforms including Facebook and twitch, Can you tell us how the journey all began?
As a young child, I was diagnosed with severe speech delay and ADHD. The traditional therapeutic approaches didn't resonate with me. My ADHD made it challenging to maintain focus, especially when the subject matter didn't capture my interest. Content creation was the one thing I was always passionate about.
My parents, recognizing my interest, leveraged it as a form of behavioral therapy. This approach not only helped me overcome my speech delay but also solidified my desire to be a content creator. Gaming provided an engaging avenue to express myself in a way words sometimes couldn't and was my outlet I navigated the challenges of my speech delay and ADHD.
Fabu, you use content creation as a form of therapy for your ADHD. How has the journey been so far?
Content creation has been instrumental in my journey with ADHD. It offers a structured environment that is essential for managing my ADHD. The process of planning, recording, editing, and engaging with my audience requires focus and consistency. These tasks provide me with clear objectives and immediate feedback, which are crucial for someone with ADHD. Over time, as I have shared my experiences and challenges through my content, it’s created this sense of purpose and desire to support and empower others who face similar challenges.
Today, I'm fully committed to creating content, focusing on producing ADHD educational videos. Through this, I hope to further my understanding and educate others about what it is like living with ADHD, the good and the bad.

What advice do you have for other gamers diagnosed with ADHD?
I would like to remind other gamers that everyone’s journey with ADHD is unique. Your experience as a gamer with ADHD has its own set of challenges and strengths. Embrace them, learn from them, and most importantly, enjoy the world of gaming. Gaming should be fun so celebrate your achievements, no matter how small and don’t be too hard on yourself when you lose. Lastly, surround yourself with a community of supportive and understanding gamers who are positive and provide encouragement.
